Coral Tide turns the qipao into an aquarium of quiet wonders: corals in periwinkle and rose, a scattering of shells and starfish, schools of fish drifting across misty-blue satin — all traced in silk thread and dotted with pearl-like beads, like bubbles caught mid-rise. Inspired by Hai Cuo Tu, the Qing-dynasty illustrated atlas of sea creatures.
